Hello and welcome to Intrapolitics.org, the online magazine and collaborative space for people of African descent and allies all over the world to debate, to interact, and to enlighten. How will this site accomplish all of those goals at once?

Glad you asked. Intrapolitics.org grows and evolves with the membership. There are three general categories into which most major initiatives and discussions will fall:

  1. Black Intrapolitics. This area of discussion will discuss the earmarks of Black culture, history, perceptions of self, perceptions of others, interpersonal interaction, Black identity, and (as the name suggests) the political implications of the evolving Black Politic.
  2. National Intrapolitics. This area of the site focuses on news and events taking place in the United States primarily. As the site evolves, it hopes to incorporate spaces for the various nations within which black voices and opinions thrive. Cultural, political, and economic American news fits in best here.
  3. World Intrapolitics. This area of the site analyzes the interactions between nations (and within nations outside of the U.S.). Intercultural exchange, geopolitics, world economy, war, peace, global energy conservation initiatives -- all of these topics are encouraged here.

Please note that the breakdown of accepted material underneath each category is what you, the membership, make of it.

The site's technological capabilities include:

  • Daily feature articles from a host of contributors from all over the world: Each article and response takes and argues a position on a host of subjects of import to our community;
  • Easy-to-use soapboxes for users to collaborate and exchange ideas: Each area awaits the original input and civilized exchange of the learning and teaching mind;
  • A forum for creativity, cultural development, and action planning: This user-controlled space will give the site feedback on the topics that need attention, action initiatives, benefits for individuals and groups, and a host of other uses (including lighthearted, fun conversation); and
  • A customized website and blog search of sites run by and for people of color, especially those of African descent: if you include with your membership to Intrapolitics.org an active link to an online website, blog, or initiative focusing on people of African descent and related issues, it will be included in our free web search platform.

Throughout this opening week, more information will be revealed about this new technology, including the specifics of how to use the features. In the meantime, feel free to start an account and share your opinions on the contributions to our three main discussion categories. Stay tuned, and thank you for visiting!
